AMCTO (The Association of Municipal Managers, Clerks and Treasurers of Ontario) represents excellence in local government administration. AMCTO has provided education, accreditation, leadership, and implementation expertise for Ontario’s municipal professionals for the past seventy years. With 2,200 members working in municipalities across Ontario, AMCTO is Canada’s largest association of local government professionals, and the leading professional development organization for municipal administrative staff. AMCTO's CMO (Certified Municipal Officer) designation is the most comprehensive accreditation program in Canada for municipal professionals, demonstrating the highest commitment to municipal excellence. AMCTO's Standing Committees and Project Teams provide valuable insight into issues facing municipalities on a day-to-day basis. They contribute their experience and knowledge of municipal issues to the Association to support program development, advocacy, and service delivery.
