Municipal Project Management Fundamentals

This is exciting and unique offering was designed and tailored specifically for application in the municipal sector. In this session, participants will learn how to plan and undertake small and large loads of activity, by parsing the work into measured and cost effective projects within municipalities. Furthermore, this session will establish a foundation in project management methodology and share learned lessons and best practices for effective project execution. The discussion will combine the theoretical knowledge of project management with hands-on examples of municipal case studies. At the end of this course, participants will have gained practical know-how on how to successfully complete projects in order to meet their staff’s, management’s, stakeholders’ and clients’ needs and expectations.

Richard is the Director of Professional Development at the PMI Lakeshore Chapter and Moez is a Professor at the Conestoga College Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning, as well as Supervisor, Project Management & Business Systems, City of Guelph.
