As per the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO), "in Ontario, Order in Council 1413/08 authorizes the licensing framework for eligible charitable or religious organizations to hold lottery events and sets out the limits of municipal and provincial licensing. Licensed charitable or religious organizations must conduct and manage their events in accordance with licensing policies and the terms and conditions of the licences and fulfill all prescribed reporting requirements."

In this webinar, lottery licensing clerk, Roger Wilson, will walk you through the basics of lottery licensing in Ontario and provide an overview of the framework for municipal licensing. Join us to gain a deeper understanding of how the Ontario licensing process works, including recent changes in regulation that have been made due to COVID-19 and how these have affected Ontario's gaming landscape.

Roger Wilson

Roger Wilson is an experienced Ontario lottery licensing clerk who has worked for the City of Brampton for the past 17 years. Previously Roger has served as AMCTO's liasion with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) to provide updates on key policy files and legislative changes.

Roger has a Certificate in Gaming Law from the Osgoode Law School - York University, Toronto, as well as a Certificate in Volunteer and Non-Profit Sector Management from Ryerson University.
