Dates: Monday, April 17, 2023

Times: 12:00 PM - 1:30 PM ET

Labour market conditions have been identified as a major challenge for many employers. Results from several labour force surveys have identified the number one reason employers find it difficult to fill open positions is due to a lack of applicants. However, while labour force participation rates remain at all time lows, a significant number of individuals are actively looking for work. Are you looking to grow your team or hire your first employee? Or perhaps you’ve reached a crossroads at your municipality and are struggling with your next steps in terms of retaining the team you have built? Do you have staff who are nervous about returning to the office following a period of working from home?

Join us for this interactive webinar designed to provide some guideposts for you to map out your next steps when it comes to human resources (HR) – whether its hiring, developing a strategy and plan for staff retention or bringing your team back into the office. Participants will also receive a copy of SHRP’s Recruitment and Retention Guide for Small-to-Medium Employers that includes step-by-step instructions and resources to complement this training and further support your talent recruitment and retention efforts.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Discover actionable best practices in talent recruitment and retention
  • Understand strategies to improve employee retention
  • Understand how to develop a plan and communicate to your team about coming back to the office
  • Receive a downloadable recruiting and retention guide to support you in your long-term HR goals
