Smart Cities Survey

2017-08-03 5:18:32 PM

AMCTO is encouraging its members and others working in the municipal sector in Ontario to participate in a survey about the implementation of Smart City services and the digitization of local public services. The survey, which is being conducted by Drs. David Wolfe, Zachary Spicer and Nicole Goodman of the University of Toronto, is part of a larger project called Creating Digital Opportunity.

The survey is primarily targeted for municipal CAOs, CIOs, Clerks or those that are doing work in, or have knowledge about, moving services online or undertaking steps toward becoming a more digital and connected municipality. Elected representatives at the municipal level are also being asked to participate.

You can start the survey by clicking here.

The survey will take you about 10 minutes to complete and the results will be published in a report that is co-organized with AMCTO. Findings will also be published in other municipal outlets, including our flagship publication The Municipal Monitor, and in scholarly journals. Your input will inform our work on smart city developments, particularly how communities of all shapes and sizes can adopt technology and move toward the smart city ideal regardless of resources and capacity.

If you have any questions about the survey please feel free to contact Dr. Nicole Goodman.
