Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program Now Accepting Applications

2019-03-18 1:21:44 PM

The Ontario Government today opened its online portal for applications for the Rural and Northern stream of the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program. It is open to approximately 500 Ontario communities with populations under 100,000. Those communities have eight weeks to nominate their road and bridge projects online.

Applications will be submitted through the Grants Ontario website.

As AMCTO previously reported, the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program is a federally-led program which pledges $30 million in combined federal, provincial, and local investments in Ontario communities over the next 10 years. Ontario is contributing 33 percent, or about $10.2 billion, which will be spread across the following streams: rural and northern, public transit, green, and community, culture and recreation.
