As Ontario moves towards full compliance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) in 2025, there is a looming deadline for websites and web content that impacts public sector organizations.

By January 1, 2021, public sector organizations must ensure that all websites and web content are accessible to people with disabilities. The organization that owns and controls the website must meet the accessibility requirements.

Specifically, for this deadline, all public websites and web content posted after January 1, 2021 must meet WCAG 2.0 Level AA other than criteria 1.2.4 (live captions) and 1.2.5 (pre-recorded audio descriptions). Please refer to the Ontario Government's "How to make websites accessible" webpage for more details and information.

AMCTO recognizes our own responsibility as an non-profit organization in promoting and adhering to accessibility standards. As we continue to adapt and grow many of our program offerings, we are committed to ensuring our products and programs moving forward are accessible.
