AMCTO - COVID-19 Update - March 24, 2020

2020-03-24 9:57:35 AM

As communicated last week, as the current situation in Canada regarding the COVID-19 virus continues to evolve on a daily basis, AMCTO has been focused on implementing an appropriate course of action that takes into account the health and well-being of the Association, AMCTO Staff and our many members and customers. Our decisions throughout have been based on taking a calm and measured approach that responds to the directions from government and public health authorities.

In light of the direction provided by the province yesterday regarding the mandatory closing of non-essential businesses effective midnight today, we are taking the following new steps effective immediately:

  • The AMCTO office has been closed and the current work from home arrangement in place for AMCTO Staff has been extended until further notice;
  • The current in-office rotation of AMCTO Staff has been discontinued as of March 23rd 2020;
  • Any AMCTO in-person learning events for the month of April which have not already been postponed are now postponed and will be rescheduled to a later date and/or delivered in an alternate format. At this time, all other AMCTO events, including the AMCTO conference, remain scheduled as planned. Registrations for all of these events will continue to be received and processed.
During these upcoming weeks, AMCTO Staff will continue to be accessible via e-mail and voicemail to respond to your inquiries. We will also continue to monitor the situation closely and will notify you of any other changes to our schedule of events should they become necessary.

Please rest assured that the Board of Directors and the entire AMCTO staff team are committed to the best interests of the Association and our membership.
