President's Holiday Message

2021-12-23 10:08:03 AM

Dear members,

This time of year represents a chance to celebrate with family, friends and colleagues. It also provides an opportunity to reflect on the past year and take stock of our personal and collective successes.

We know as municipal professionals that you have continued to persevere through the pandemic to provide high levels of service to your communities. We also know that you, through your dedication and resilience, have been living up to AMCTO’s Ethics & Values: Service to the Community, Supporting Elected Officials and Servicing the Municipal Profession. As AMCTO President, I hear stories about the amazing work that has been done this year by our members and our municipalities and it fills me with great hope and pride.

As an Association, we have worked hard to continue to bring you high-quality education and professional development programs to help you manage the current municipal environment, learn and grow in your role as a municipal professional. AMCTO has also made great strides in 2021 on advocacy issues that are of importance to you, our valued members.

With 2022 just days away, we recognize that the pandemic continues to present challenges in every one of our communities. Always remember that AMCTO is a family. A family that you can look to for support, especially when the going gets tough. I encourage you to reach out to your AMCTO family members for guidance as we all continue to overcome professional and personal challenges.

On behalf of the AMCTO Board of Directors and staff, I want to sincerely thank you for all that you do for your communities and for our Association. Please take some time to reflect on your accomplishments and celebrate this holiday season in the best way you know how!

Happy Holidays,
