The CDP Leadership Stream is for experienced municipal staff currently in or aspiring to senior leadership positions. This package exposes participants to municipal-specific management and leadership content, allowing you to showcase a robust leadership skillset. It offers focused and practical learning opportunities to keep you ahead of the curve of the ever-evolving municipal leadership landscape.
Prerequisites
Participants in the Leadership Stream must have:
- Minimum three (3) years’ management/leadership experience in a municipality (or related organization)
- Completed the Municipal Administration Program (MAP)
- Experience in or ability to gain experience in the following competencies for the Certified Municipal Officer (CMO) designation:
- Municipal Operations
- Communication
- Service Delivery
- Government Relations & Citizen Engagement
- Strategic & Organizational Management
- Human Resources Management
- Financial Management
- Leadership
Package Overview
Upon successful completion of the package, participants will receive:
- AMCTO Executive Diploma in Municipal Management
- AMCTO-Ivey Canadian Municipal Leadership Accelerator program certificate and digital badge
- Professional development hours for participation in two (2) AMCTO annual Forums
- One-on-one professional development as a Mentor in the AMCTO Mentorship Program
- Granting of the Certified Municipal Officer (CMO) designation by the AMCTO Board of Directors
