Municipal Clerks Institute

The Municipal Clerks Institute (MCI) is an education program for clerks and those who work in or support a clerk’s department in Ontario. It is designed to connect participants across the province who share an interest in the unique, challenging, and complicated role of a municipal clerk. The program is delivered by instructors with expertise in different facets of the clerk’s profession.

If you are pursuing the AMCTO Accredited Ontario Municipal Clerk (AOMC) professional designation, you can use MCI and other AMCTO education programs to gain education points.

AMCTO is also an approved International Institute of Municipal Clerks (IIMC) education institute. MCI and other AMCTO education programs are recognized by IIMC for the purpose of obtaining the Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) and Master Municipal Clerk (MMC) professional designations.
