Shayne is retired from the field of municipal law enforcement after having served for 36 years. In his final 20 years, he served as the Director of Municipal Enforcement Services with the cities of Kitchener and Waterloo. He has been closely affiliated with Ontario Association of Property Standards Officers for over 30 years, serving as president for 4 of those years and remains active as an instructor within their certification program.
After retirement, Shayne established Municipal Compliance Solutions, a small business that provides services to the municipal law enforcement community, such as by-law and policy development, as well as training, mentoring and coaching of officers.
