
Seeking Expressions of Interest for AMCTO Education Program Markers
Are you looking for opportunities to share your experience and expertise with municipal professionals across the province? If so, consider becoming a marker for one of our education programs.
We are accepting expressions of interest (EOIs) to join our roster of paid markers who assess written assignments in the following programs:
- Municipal Administration Program (MAP)
- Municipal Law Program (MLP)
- Employment Law & Human Resources Program (ELHR)
- Parliamentary Meeting Protocol Course (PMPC)
Your EOI will be kept on file for two years, and you will be contacted by AMCTO staff if there is a match between your profile and a vacant role during that time.
Qualifications for Markers
Markers are responsible for grading and providing feedback on written assignments. They do not teach classes. Marker qualifications are as follows:
- A minimum of five years’ recent working and/or consulting experience in the Ontario municipal sector related to the subject being marked
- Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Experience with grading adult-learner assignments or exams is an asset
