
Clearview Township is currently seeking one (1) permanent full-time (35 hours per week) Legislative Coordinator – Committee & Boards. The primary location of work is on-site at the Township’s Administration Centre, 217 Gideon Street, Stayner. This position is an in-office position.

Key Accountabilities:
Reporting to the Deputy Clerk, the Legislative Coordinator – Committee & Boards serves as a key resource for council-appointed committees and boards, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and procedures and acting as a liaison between the committees, boards, and the clerk's department. The Legislative Coordinator – Committee and Boards is also responsible for supporting the efficient operation of the clerk's department by providing administrative and legislative assistance. Responsibilities also include supporting and assisting with the records management program, including the maintenance of corporate records for all committees/boards, establishing and maintaining a volunteer registry, and providing administrative support for municipal elections and fulfilling other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Diploma in business, or an academic certificate or equivalent education courses from AMCTO, together with 1-3 years of experience in a legislative coordinator role, preferably in a municipal environment.
- Demonstrated and thorough working knowledge of legislation related to municipal government and strong knowledge of committee and council procedures and protocol.
- Excellent administrative, organizational, multi-tasking, interpersonal, report writing, problem solving, minute taking and agenda creation skills.
- Thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, records management tools and systems, and meeting management software.
- Ability to demonstrate tact and discretion, dignity and respect in handling matters of a confidential or highly sensitive nature, and to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability and willingness to travel within the community and out of town as required.
- Flexibility to work evenings to attend committee & board meetings and occasional weekends to attend special events, functions or meetings.
- Satisfactory criminal record check.
- Valid Class “G” driver’s license with dependable personal transportation.

Salary:
The salary range offered for this position is $63,064 to $77,427 per annum and includes a comprehensive benefit package.
