With over 30 years working in the local government sector, Ann is passionate about her field. She has worked in a variety of municipalities, both urban and rural. Through her work, she aims to foster an environment of innovation and creativity, as well as a greater understanding of all levels of government in Canada.
For 20 years, Ann held the position of chief administrative officer (CAO)/city manager. She finds the unique balance of running a municipal organization along with being the principal advisor to the municipal council extremely challenging, but at the same time very gratifying. Being able to affect positive change in the communities she serves is what drives her.
Ann is a certified professional coach through the International Coaching Federation and a certified workplace investigator through the Association of Workplace Investigators. Through her executive coaching, she continues to support leaders in local government to be their best selves.
Ann is a Certified Municipal Officer (CMO) and has completed her Executive Diploma in Municipal Management (EDMM) with AMCTO. In addition, she holds a Master’s Certificate in Municipal Leadership from York University, a B.A. from Lakehead University, and a Master's in Leadership from Royal Roads University, where her research focused on CAO/council relationships.
