A 35-year veteran of the City and Metro Toronto governments, John has held posts in cultural affairs, intergovernmental relations, corporate policy, ethics and integrity and machinery of government. As part of his current duties he provides administrative supports to the mayor and members of council and works closely with the city's four accountability officers including the integrity commissioner and lobbyist registrar. Like most clerks, he has a unique vantage point on the interplay between the public, elected officials and the public service.
