John is a certified specialist by the Law Society of Ontario in Municipal Law: Local Government & Land Use Planning and Development. He is also an adjunct professor at Osgoode Hall Law School, co-author of the Annotated Municipal Act, Ontario Municipal Act & Commentary (all editions), and three other published texts. John has received the Ontario Bar Association's Award of Excellence in Municipal Law in 2023 and the Distinguished Canadian Municipal Lawyer Award from the International Municipal Lawyers Association in 2022.
