Kristina Lepik

Deputy Clerk/Manager, Legislative Services

Town of Cobourg

Kristina has nine years of experience in municipal government and has served as a deputy clerk since 2023. Early in her career, she worked with advisory committees to implement changes to the Municipal Act, 2001 — specifically around the requirement of codes of conduct, appointing an integrity commissioner, and establishing a conflict of interest registry. Through this experience, she gained a good understanding of the value and benefits of limiting advisory committees.

Kristina completed AMCTO’s Diploma in Municipal Administration (DMA) in 2022. As a deputy clerk, she is responsible for supporting the clerk in overseeing the administration for advisory committees, quasi-judicial committees, and task forces. She enjoys interpreting legislation and working with residents, welcoming the opportunity to modernize the ABC process to create informal task forces that allow for feedback to be provided directly to staff.
