Call for 2026 Conference Proposals

Date Published

We are excited to announce that the call for AMCTO 2026 conference workshop sessions and speakers is now open! Prospective speakers are invited to submit their speaker application and session ideas no later than Friday, September 26, at 4:00 PM ET.

Professional development workshops are key to providing educational and practical learning opportunities for AMCTO members and municipal professionals at our annual conference. Sessions can be delivered by speakers from municipalities, organizations, or partner associations and must focus on professional development, not sales. Sessions with topical municipal-focused subject matter are often well-received and attended, with over 58% of sessions at our recent 2025 event being driven by speakers from across small, medium, and large municipalities.

All conference proposals will be reviewed by our 2026 Conference Planning Committee following the proposal deadline (Friday, September 26). All applicants will be contacted regarding the status of their proposal and should expect to be notified before the end of the year. Final selections will be made based on speakers’ knowledge and experience within the municipal sector, as well as how closely their proposed session addresses current opportunities and challenges within the municipal profession.

Save the Date

Our 2026 conference and annual general meeting (AGM) will be held at Deerhurst Resort in Huntsville, Ontario, from June 7-10, 2026.

All conference sessions will be live-streamed and recorded as part of our 2026 virtual conference package for those who are unable to join us in-person. Stay tuned for more event details and announcements to come in the new year!
