We are excited to kick off #LocalGovWeek and celebrate the successes and important work of our members and municipal professionals this October 19-25, 2025.
In case you missed it, earlier in September, we released the following member toolkit, complete with revised #LocalGovWeek social media assets, key messages, role-specific resources, as well as educational resources and one-pagers on ways to get involved in and celebrate local government in your community. We encourage you to use these tools to help build awareness of the different facets and amazing opportunities that exist in the sector.

How We're Celebrating
Throughout Local Government Week, we'll be sharing member stories to help you get to know your fellow members and Ontario municipal professionals, including celebrating those who recently achieved their AMCTO professional accreditations. We'll also be sharing content from our partner associations and other organizations that are doing amazing work to support the sector and municipal professionals.
In addition to highlighting some of the different roles and opportunities available in the sector, we'll be sharing an engaging conversation around AI technology and how it's changing the ways in which local governments operate — this Municipal Monitor Extra episode is one you won't want to miss! Finally, we'll be talking to clerks during our annual Municipal Clerks Forum, welcoming new members during our new member orientation session, and highlighting other upcoming fall leadership-focused programming.
