April holds an undergraduate degree in Political Science from the University of Western Ontario (Western) and Paralegal Diploma from Sheridan College. April is a career prosecutor and has been a member of the Prosecutors' Association for 21 years, a Board Member for 19 years holding various positions within the Association, and is currently the President of the Prosecutors' Association of Ontario. April sits on various provincial committees and has given presentations at AMO, the Prosecutors' Association, various colleges and to various police agencies. In her spare time, she volunteers with the Jays Care Foundation and is an avid traveler and sports fan.
