The Information and Privacy Commissioner (IPC) of Ontario unveiled the 2024 Transparency Challenge showcase, putting a virtual spotlight on innovative and impactful transparency projects by Ontario organizations.
After a review of submission, this year’s Transparency Showcase focusing on “The Beauty and Benefits of Transparency” includes 14 projects, five of which are from municipalities including:
- City of Toronto
- City of St. Thomas
- City of Thunder Bay
- Town of Innisfil
- Township of King
Municipalities are the most open and transparent level of government. We continue to advocate for modernization of the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (MFIPPA) with the goal of providing better local FOI and privacy services.
