Province Opens Second Round of Community Emergency Preparedness Grant

As of September 16, the Ontario government is accepting applications for its second round of Community Emergency Preparedness Grant (CEPG) funding. Investing up to $5 million, the Province is providing $5,000 - $50,000 grants to help municipalities and organizations with essential resources, equipment and training to better prepare for natural disasters and emergencies.

Consistent with the first round of applications, municipalities with a population under 100,000 (based on 2021 Statistics Canada data) are eligible to apply for the second round of funding. Local service boards, non-government organizations, and First Nations communities and Indigenous organizations are also eligible.

Municipalities can sign up for one of the Province’s virtual information sessions taking place September 23, October 2, and October 10 to learn about the grant and application process.

The deadline to apply is October 31, 2024 at 5 p.m. EST.
