On Tuesday, February 24, the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner (IPC) will be holding a full-day workshop in-person and virtually for FOI coordinators, privacy officers, lawyers and other professionals who work with the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (MFIPPA) and the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA).
The program features sessions that may be useful for AMCTO members administering MFIPPA, including sessions with key takeaways from recent court and Tribunal decisions shaping the interpretation of MFIPPA/FIPPA, updates on recent IPC improvements on IPC policies, practices and procedures, and a panel on practical insights from end users of MFIPPA/FIPPA moderated by AMCTO member and City of Toronto clerk, John Elvidge.
