Chief Administrative Officer
Town of Innisfil
"People in local government are smart, hard working, and deeply committed to what they do, so I'm proud to work along side colleagues like that."
About Me:
Travel is one of my great passions, and I've been fortunate to have had the chance to see many places in the world. I love planning my trips almost as much as going on them! My next trip will be a kayaking and camping excursion in the Baja region of Mexico.
Why did you get involved with/pursue a career in local government?
I've always been passionate about shaping communities for the better. I'm originally trained as a city planner - something I knew I wanted to do back in high school. Over the course of my career I've worked in a number of different roles in both the public and private sectors, and that diversity of experience really helps me to do my job as CAO today.
What is one thing members of the public would be surprised to learn about your role?
As a part of my role, I also serve on the board of directors of all three of the Town of Innisfil's utility companies.
What do you enjoy most about working in local government?
It's very rewarding to know that your work has a real impact on the ground, and improves people's quality of life and the prosperity of your community. I also really enjoy the people I get to work with - people in local government are smart, hard working, and deeply committed to what they do, so I'm proud to work along side colleagues like that.
