Sylvia received her Juris Doctor from Osgoode Hall then articled with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry prosecuting matters across the province. She has been a municipal prosecutor since 2017, first for the Niagara Region, and now as a Solicitor for the City of Toronto. She is a Director of the Prosecutors’ Association of Ontario (PAO) and the Mentoring Co-Chair for the Women's Law Association of Ontario.
