This workshop will provide a step-by-step overview of processing Freedom of Information (FOI) requests under the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (MFIPPA). We'll review the application of exemptions, exclusions, timelines, and costs, as well as do a walk-through of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Ontario (IPC) appeals process.

Else Khoury is the Founder & Privacy Consultant with Seshat Information Consulting. She has a Master's degree in Information Studies from the University of Toronto, an Information, Access, and Privacy Protection certificate from the University of Alberta, and a Master's in Electronic Records Management from AIIM International. Else is an instructor with the School of Continuing Studies at the University of Toronto.
