Shelley is a seasoned municipal treasurer with over 30 years' experience in rural and small urban municipalities as well as experience as a senior municipal financial advisor with the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing (MMAH). She is currently the President of the Municipal Finance Officers Association (MFOA). This is her third term as President and previously, she has served on the MFOA Board of Directors for over 20 years. Shelley is also an elected council member in her home community of Quinte West.
Shelley’s career in municipal finance has been with single and lower-tier municipalities in both eastern and western Ontario. Throughout her career, Shelley has also been a marker for several AMCTO courses, including assisting with course revisions in various municipal training units, and has delivered seminars and training, including the MFOA/Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) budgeting workshop series.
