Generative AI Policy

The Town of Perth is looking to develop a Generative AI policy, and is looking to see what other municipalities currently have outlined in their policies, or if there is policy in place. Our use of AI is limited - no chatbot or anything like that. It is used as a tool to craft messaging and ensure a consistent voice, and is always reviewed prior to being used publicly.

The Municipality of Chatham-Kent has recently approved an AI Policy. Given how quickly the AI landscape is moving, we know this policy will be reviewed frequently and continuously improved.

The City of Ottawa has recently established a Responsible Use of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI)  Policy.   As GenAI is a rapidly evolving field, these guidelines are interim and subject to revisions replacement by future policies or standards as more is known.
